Cave Kueshta

I immediately thought: get rid of narrow specialization of this journal, I will write about everything, and especially on our travels. You do not even know what my husband and I reiselustig:) Our curious noses where there were many, and all the memories of the trip, I inadvertently keep only in your mind blowing and so many details easily and quickly forgotten. This is not the case, I do not want to forget anything! LiveJournal diary, hello, come on I'll share your experiences with you!
I'll start with our last attacks. This weekend we went to Sim in Iglinskiy district of Bashkortostan, and looked into the cave Kueshta.

Saturday. Our car park on the banks of Shem, and children sitting in the "bus" Climate:

On Sunday went to the cave, she was very close to our parking lot.
Nature Monument, one of the largest gypsum cave Bashkortostan. Horizontal. Is a pass-through winding corridor connecting four rooms and forming side branches. The total length of strokes is 571 m, the maximum ceiling height - 12 m. The entrance and exit holes are located on opposite cliffs of gypsum array Kueshta towering in the bend of the creek valley Kueshta - the right tributary of the river Sim.
Locals say that there are two options for the translation of the title - the "hole in the mountain" or "Sunny Mountain".
main entrance to the cave opens at the bottom of the white gypsum cliffs height of 30-40 m on the southwestern slope of Mt. The login form is not correct, the size of about 1 m, the very entrance is not visible from afar, but the blockage is very easy to detect. At the entrance to the rock a lot of different labels.
Privhodovaya of relatively little interest, represents a small system of rooms and passages. Some narrow passages electrically connected. On the floor a lot of lumps of plaster and clay. The walls and vault are made of white plaster, in some places covered with light gray wandering bark. On many walls the traces of aqueous corrosion. Near the inlet stream flows in some places there are small lakes.
most interesting part of the cave is located, seems to be somewhat lower, and it runs the largest stream.
locals know and the very cave and the said minor cavity. All that is visited by both local and tourists. According to stories in the first half of XX century cave creek water is considered sacred and income healing. In the cave lived a monk. According to other stories of priests and nuns hiding in the cave of Soviet repression. They also say that the cave blew up, taken lumps for the construction of the foundations of houses.
Some local residents and now believes in the sanctity of the cave water and nearby streams.

We went to the cave, put on a sweater and pants - on the street heat, but does not melt the ice cave.

first playfully climbed all - adults and kids. But, looking into the darkness and cold, the adults understand that kids there can hardly enjoy it.

Yes, and not every adult had the courage to try. But Pauline is not going to retreat. Klim, too:)

climbed. All the same, without Clim.

first site where you can straighten up. Only 10-15 meters from the entrance, and already the ice is:

stood on this site about five minutes, the eyes become accustomed to darkness, and went on:

Further moves have gone so narrow that it was not before filming. Moving in places bent, sometimes at chetverenkah.Tam very dirty, I tell you. Bring gloves and wear over all the old and unnecessary.
But no, here peyzazhik interested me, and I snapped a few shots:

first in a labyrinth of caves (and for us, and the latter because it did not go beyond) the big hall:

down there one more move:

From there we came:

All right, time to return.

got the light of day, and the nose hit the smells of grass, a brook, the sun - a sharp contrast with the cold desert world of caves.

They put the medal "For the taking Kueshty! :)
